Miner acquires US Emergency Glass Services

Return
(San Antonio, Texas) Miner Fleet Management Group (Miner), an affiliate of Miner Holding Company, today announced the acquisition of United States Emergency Glass Services (USEG), a leading national provider for storefront repair and maintenance including glass, doors and locks.  The acquisition of USEG gives Miner a leading presence in North America.  The USEG transaction reinforces Miner’s position as the largest privately held provider of ‘round the clock repair service and planned maintenance support for docks, doors, glass and more.

"The acquisition of USEG will broaden our footprint, add significant depth and efficiency to our Network, and through USEG's Boston area location, will give Miner improved access to markets in the Northeast." stated Phil Miner, Chairman of Miner Holding Company. "USEG's excellent service reputation and strong management team made it a perfect fit for our fast growing company."

“With this acquisition, our expertise will further expand beyond the dock, door, waste handling and material handling areas to include more glass and front-end door repairs and replacements,” said Jeff Schmeck, President of Miner Fleet Management Group. “This gives our customers access to additional industry experts and an expanded and improved service offering with a company they have already grown to trust. Our relationship with USEG is a perfect example of Miner's core investment strategy of acquiring strong entrepreneurial management teams to consolidate a fragmented industry."

USEG was founded in 1929 as a local, family business in the Boston area. By 1972, the company had expanded its service coverage throughout North America.  Industry expert and United States Emergency Glass CEO Rhonda Lambert will join the Miner team as Vice President of the Glass and Front Door Division.

“With an evolving economy we knew we needed to make a change to strengthen our position in the industry in order to service our clientele at the highest level,” said Rhonda Lambert, the third generation of her family in the glass business. “Along came Miner and after many discussions, we realized we had found the perfect fit. Miner, like USEG, comes from humble roots, small family run businesses, experts in our fields. Our philosophy is the same: run your company with integrity and treat your customers like family no matter how big or small.”
